Zak Top Batik Brush
Description
The Zak Top champions an effortless and timeless aesthetic with a playful pocket on the front.
This season, we collaborated with talented artisans designers on the island of Java to produce a one-of-a-kind pattern that combines two traditional batik methods and draws inspiration from geometric shapes.
Designs were initially sketched onto delicate cotton voile. Stripes were hand printed using a classic "cap" copper stamp and dots were hand painted using wax-resist dyeing, a technique in which hot wax is applied to specific areas of cloth, soaked in various dyes, and then boiled off to reveal the final designs.
